What you can upload

  • Video: MP4, MOV, M4V, MKV, WebM, AVI
  • Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, WMA
  • Up to 500 MB per file. Up to 10 minutes long on the free plan, 20 minutes on a paid plan.

Three steps

  1. Choose the video file on your device. There is nothing to install.
  2. Listen to the original, the vocals and the instrumental, switching at the same point.
  3. Download the part you need as an MP3 with no account, or as a WAV on a paid plan.

What you get back

Audio only: the vocals and the instrumental. The picture is not returned. Paid plans can also split a track of up to 10 minutes into four stems: vocals, drums, bass and other.

Limits

  • There is no link import. Upload the file itself, and only one you have the right to use.
  • A video with no sound track is turned away with a message and does not use a separation.
  • Four stems need the track's length. Some AVI and WMA files don't give it in the browser; those can still be split into two.

Questions

Do I get the video back without the vocals?
No. You get audio files. To put the instrumental back under the picture, use a video editor.
Is it free?
Yes, to try. Without an account you can separate 2 files a day, and a free account gets 2 a month. Paid plans add more.
How long are my files kept?
24 hours without an account, 7 days on the free plan and 30 days on a paid plan. Then they are deleted, and nothing is used to train models.
